At Pathways to Independence, social growth is all about autonomy. Traditional programs schedule activities for participants, but our Social Focus Small Groups hand the planning directly to the individuals themselves, from picking the venue to sending out the invites.
As Taylor shared after organizing the trip, “I felt really good to invite people and catching up on what they’ve been doing for the past week and making some connections.” When peers take the lead, it transforms the entire dynamic, helping participants feel included and empowered.
