About Pathways to Independence

Pathways to Independence is a nonprofit headquartered in St. Louis, MO that helps low-support needs individuals (16 years+) with developmental disabilities or autism form genuine communities. More than a recreation-based program, we provide a safe space for participants to let go and have fun, where they can form friendships, build social, interpersonal and other soft skills and ultimately plan their own social activities outside of those facilitated by Pathways.

Quotes

Our goal at Pathways to Independence is for participants to gain confidence and be empowered in all aspects of life, from their personal lives to their professional aspirations. We do this by providing services that meet them where they’re at and see them for the unique individuals they are, capable of so much but in need of a little support to develop the skills to get there.
